Born in Alexandria City, Egypt, Chef Michael Fattah was trained in Switzerland. He worked in fine restaurants in Bergen County, N.J. for 13 years prior to moving to Estero and opening Ristorante Farfalla in 1998. A chef for 23 years, Michael specializes in gourmet authentic Italian and Continental cuisine. He is known for his special flair with ingredients when making his entrees, light but very flavorful sauces, and delicious homemade desserts.

I was born in Belgium and studied there as well as in France. I came to the U.S. in the 1970's and worked in fine dining establishments in several states, according to the season for 8 years. I then settled in Chicago and worked, managed and consulted in the area for 20 years. My wife and I then moved to Las Vegas where I worked for 6 years before moving here to Southwest Florida. In September of 2007, I started working with Chef Michael Fattah at Ristorante Farfalla. His high quality creations and intimate atmosphere are hard to find in this area. It is with excitement and pride that I come to work everyday.
